A simple AAA ribeye grilled, with sautéed asparagus and mashed potatoes. Served with a tomato salad composed of yellow grape and red cherry tomatoes and fresh basil. The batteries in the picture are the most useless batteries I’ve ever seen, out of the box almost all of the batteries failed in the charger, when I can get them to charge they barely hold enough charge to take more than 4 pictures. Fortunately I just got some lithium rechargables that are more than up to the challenge of “What’s for dinner!” Goodbye crappy Energizer, these batteries had all the staying power of a chocolate bunny given to a fat kid.
The title says it all, the dish also includes leeks, parsley and red bell pepper.
An extra thick pork chop rubbed with Barbarian’s Steak Spice (I know it’s a pork chop) served with roasted root vegetables and yellow grape and vine ripen tomatoes with fresh basil.
One of my wife’s favourite dishes, includes a bonus meatball action shot. The tomato sauce is from fresh Roma tomatoes and finished with fresh basil and Parmigiano-Reggiano.
A grilled veal chop with potato salad and cucumber and avocado salad.
A chicken leg basted with my mother’s bbq sauce from the ribs in the previous post, served with potato salad and dirty rice.
This is my mother’s recipe, but instead of braising the ribs until they were completely cooked, I finished the ribs on the BBQ and basted them with the reduced sauce from the braising liquid. The dinner is also served with basmati rice and my mother in-laws cole slaw.
New York strip loin, mashed potatoes, carrots and a tabouli salad with grape tomatoes, yellow pepper, asparagus and a little bit of sour cream.
A frittata with fresh basil, tomatoes, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Mozzarella di Bufala and shallots. I forgot about the breakfast sausage on the grill hence their over doneness.
